General information



Phone therapy is best for people who:

Phone therapy is not appropriate if you feel like hurting yourself or someone else and/or are in immediate danger or crisis.

Appointments are available between 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. (EST). Rates for phone therapy are $1 per minute with 30-, 60-, or 90-minute sessions available; 10% off when you sign up for 210 minutes of phone therapy.

You can schedule one session or multiple sessions. If you can't make a phone session, you must call or e-mail at least 24 hours before the appointment to cancel or reschedule or you will be charged for the session. The fee paid in advance is applied toward missed sessions or late cancellations.

Phone therapy begins within 72 hours after
payment is received.

E-therapy is often recommended for those who:

  • find writing helpful
  • can't find a therapist in their home community
  • are homebound or, alternatively, travel frequently and have an unpredictable schedule.

E-therapy is not appropriate if you feel like hurting yourself or someone else and/or are in immediate danger or crisis.

Real-time therapy is an option for those who prefer in person therapy but can't come to the office.

Real-time therapy is recommended when:

  • there's more than one person involved
  • you need a more rapid response
  • want a traditional therapy dialogue, but can't attend an in-person session
  • can't find a therapist in your home community
  • are homebound or, alternatively, travel frequently and have an unpredictable schedule

Real-time therapy is not appropriate if you feel like hurting yourself or someone else and/or are in immediate danger or crisis.

To begin, you'll need to download free AOL Instant Messenger or IChat software, if you do not have it already.

In-person therapy:

The rate for in-person therapy is $125 for a 50-minute session. When possible, I try to offer sliding-scale rates based on a person's income. Sliding scale rates start at $75.00 per hour.
